Years of planning and testing on the world’s most challenging terrains have gone into the development of the Africa Twin. Now finally it’s here and motorcycle fans can’t wait to get their hands on it.

Not only is it tough enough to withstand whatever you put it through – after all the technology and design were forged in the heat and dust of the Paris-Dakar rally. But it’s also a thing of beauty that you’ll want to admire and show off.

In a fun new development you can check out the Africa Twin, on the handy new app. It allows you to highlight various features. And then by choosing the camera icon, you can place it in different locations, showing how the Africa Twin is the bike for any terrain, whether it’s rough off-road or a city commute. People have already been having fun with this part of the app.

With its all-new 4-stroke 1000cc parallel twin engine, the Africa Twin has the agility you need for the everyday commute. So one fan has pictured it in front of his house, ready for the work journey.

Or maybe you’re going further afield into the country for a ride that’s a bit more rugged. With a large 18.8 litre fuel tank and top fuel efficiency, the Africa Twin has a range of up to 248 miles. Enough to get where you wanted (or weren’t expecting) to go.

And you’ll always be in complete control – the Africa Twin’s optional ABS stops the bike from skidding when you have to brake hard. If the sensors detect a wheel lock, a series of valves use a pulsating braking sequence to quickly stop the bike – without losing traction.

The new Africa Twin pays homage to the original with classic styling that still looks great today. Good enough to show off on the pitch.
